Dr. Ike E. Mack, Pastor

  • Licensed to preach in September 1976

  • Ordained as a Gospel Minister in 1978

  • Called to Pastor UMBC in June 1986

  • Represents the longest tenured pastor in UMBC 155 years of existence

  • Orchestrated the purchase of 38,208 square foot facility location that is currently Unionville Missionary Baptist Church 

  • Established the "Brown Bag" food program

  • Increased significant growth in Church membership, Church School, Mid-week Worship, Finance and Worship attendance  

  • Instrumental in acquiring the 16,811 square foot facility, the I.E. Mack Fellowship and Worship Center

  • Prominent public relation spokesperson featured in State Bank & Trust television and billboard marketing

  • In 2011, led UMBC disciples to ceremoniously liquidate a 30-year, $2.1 million mortgage within 17 years

  • In 2015, envisioned, implored and engaged the church to enter into a $2 million transformation project of the UMBC main campus sanctuary and coordinated a $50,000 renovation project of the I.E. Mack facility 

  • Executed the 2019 acquisition of property at 3860 Houston Ave (formerly Church's Chicken)

  • Coordinated a $100,000 renovation to the UMBC Activity Center and Gymnasium in 2019

  • Purchased a 24 passenger bus 

  • Elected President of the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Convention of GA, Incorporated 

  • Appointed to the Board of Directors of Macon-Bibb Economic Opportunity Council in 2019

  • Appointed to the Health Strategy Council of the State of Georgia by Governor Roy Barnes for 2002-2005

  • Received the Informer "Best Dressed Men" Award in 2014

  • NAACP Earl T. Shinholster Award in 2008

  • Georgia Informer "One of Macon's Greatest Preachers" in 1996, 2005 and 2013

  • Appointed Bibb County Superior Court Clerk Chaplain in 2013

  • Received a Doctorate of Divinity from St. Thomas Christian College, Jacksonville, Florida in 2007

  • Master in Theology from Emmanuel Bible College & Seminary, Macon, Georgia in 1997

  • Bachelor of Theology from Emmanuel Bible College & Seminary, Macon, Georgia in 1995

  • Received a diploma from B.C. Moore Comprehensive Retail Management, Charlotte, North Carolina in 1983

  • Attended Middle Georgia Junior College, Cochran, Georgia from 1978-1980

  • Received a diploma from Bleckely County High School, Cochran, Georgia in 1978

  • Married to the former Eloise Cliett of Byron, Georgia and the parents of Brittany C. Mack
